Huayhuash - Huanucopampa

The Huayhuash Range is one of the most beautiful places in Peru. The treks in this area are often compared to those in Nepal. Its length of 180 kilometers, its high passes over 4 300 m, the hospitality of the locals and its beautiful landscapes make this the adventurer’s first choice. On the way, you can see dozens of mountain peaks, lakes and the majestic Yerupajá, the second-highest mountain in Peru.

Duration: 14 days.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Airport pick-up and transfer to the chosen hotel (Lima).

Day 2: Lima - Huaraz (by bus).

Day 3: Huaraz (3 100 m), city tour.

Day 4: Huaraz - Cuartelwain (4 185 m).

Day 5: Cuartelwain – Mitucocha (4 230 m).

Day 6: Mitucocha – Carhuacocha (4 140 m).

Day 7: Carhuacocha – Huayhuash (4 330 m).

Day 8: Huayhuash –Viconga (4 400 m).

Day 9: Viconga – Huayllapa (3 500 m).

Day 10: Huayllapa – Qashpapampa (4 430 m).

Day 11: Gashpapampa - Jahuacocha ( 4 070 m).

Day 12: Jahuacocha – Llámac (3 250 m).

Day 13: Llámac – Huaraz.

Day 14: Huaraz - Lima( Finish of the trek or change of activity ).
