Duration: 07 days.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Airport pick-up and transfer to the chosen hotel (Lima).
Day 2: By plane: Lima - Cuzco; City tours.
Day 3: Cuzco – KM 88 – Huayllabamba.
We will travel by train (first class) or by bus up to the KM 88 sign on the route to Machu Picchu, then continue on foot up to our first camp site.
Day 4: Huayllabamba – Llulluchapampa.
We will penetrate the mountain range, following the bed of the river Cusichaca. The path will start going up more steeply and the density of the vegetation will increase.
Day 5: Llulluchapampa – Winaywayna
On this stretch we will pass through the archaeological zone of Warmiwañusca at 4 200 m. We will be able to enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the whole of the Vilcanota Massif and of part of the Inca Trail carved in the mountainside.
Day 6: Winaywayna – Machu Picchu – Cuzco.
We will pass by Inti Punku or the Sun Gate, where, in the months of June to August, you can see the rising of the Star King. Then we will enter the Archaeological Park of Machu Picchu. In the afternoon, we will return to Cuzco by train.
Day 7: By plane: Cuzco - Lima.( Finish of the trek or change of activity ) .
